After their relegation from the Bundesliga, VfL Wolfsburg appear to have found the coach they hope can guide them straight back to the top flight.

According to Sport1, Tobias Strobl will take over as the club’s new head coach.

The 38-year-old will arrive from third-division side SC Verl, whom he guided to a sixth-place finish last season.

Strobl replaces Dieter Hecking, who has moved into the role of managing director for sport.
