After talks, Moukoko and Dortmund reportedly ready to split

Sky Germany reports that, following talks with the player and his professional representation, Borussia Dortmund are prepared to sell 19-year-old German striker Youssoufa Moukoko.

The calculus has apparently shifted in the case of Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko. Sky Germany presently contravenes reports emerging in Westphalia's Ruhrnachricthen newspaper earlier this summer. Sky now claims that, after holding talks with the player and his management team, Moukoko and Dortmund are prepared to part company. At the moment, there are no direct links with other clubs.

Whether or not Moukoko will be on the move this summer remains unclear. The 19-year-old could conceivably hope for better playing prospects following departures of lead attackers Sebastien Haller and Niclas Füllkrug. Karim Adeyemi also may be on the way out. Die Schwarzgelben have secured the services of Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy, but may not be able to turn to him until September.

Moukoko's current annual salary - negotiated when the German phenom last extended his contract in January 2023 - is thought to be around €6 million. Any prospective buyer would have to pick that up and, per Sky, spend around €20 million to ply him away from BVB.  Moukoko netted six goals in 27 appearances across all comps for Dortmund last year.
