Reports have recently suggested that Max Eberl’s future as Bayern Munich’s board member for sport is uncertain after a chaotic summer transfer window.

Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, however, has denied that is the case.

“There’s an insane amount being written, and every day a different story is being told,” Dreesen told Sky.

“The best thing is not to pay attention to it and simply ignore it,” he added.

“I believe that in today’s world, the headlines change from one day to the next, so it often makes the most sense to just dismiss such nonsense.”

He went on to back Eberl, stressing that responsibility is shared within Bayern’s management team.

“That’s why it’s unfair and simply not correct to credit or blame just one person. We are a team, and we will prove that over the course of the season.”
