After an underwhelming 2023/24 season under Thomas Tuchel, in which Bayern Munich finished third, Vincent Kompany has brought the club back on track.

After 10 games, the Bavarians lead the Bundesliga by five points ahead of RB Leipzig, much to the delight of the club's honorary president and supervisory board member Uli Hoeness.

"It doesn't get any better," Hoeness told Kicker.

In contrast to Bayern, Borussia Dortmund and defending champions Bayer Leverkusen have struggled for consistency.

"For the first time in a long while, we can sit back and relax during the international break, it's the other clubs that have to worry," Hoeness said.

From Bayern's point of view, the only cause for concern this season has been their results in the Champions League, where they have taken six points from their first four games in Europe.

They continue their Bundesliga campaign at home to Augsburg after the international break.
