RB Leipzig will be without Brajan Gruda for their away Bundesliga clash with Werder Bremen on Saturday.

The 21-year-old, who scored twice and provided an assist in Leipzig’s 5-0 win over Hoffenheim just before the international break, picked up an injury on international duty with Germany’s U21 squad.

“Unfortunately, Brajan has returned from the U21s with groin problems. He will not be available against Bremen, but I’m optimistic that things will look different again against Gladbach,” said RB Leipzig coach Ole Werner at a press conference on Thursday.

Werner also confirmed that third-choice goalkeeper Leopold Zingerle and young winger Suleman Sani will miss out due to injuries.

On the positive side, Yan Diomande has fully recovered from the shoulder issue he suffered against Hoffenheim and is fit to play.

“Yan has no problems and is fully available,” Werner stressed.

Additionally, both Peter Gulácsi and Assan Ouedraogo will return to the squad on the bench, having worked their way back from injury, Werner confirmed.
