Hoffenheim updates: TSG back to considering Uduokhai and Solet, Szalai headed to Spain?

German footballing journalist Michael Pfeifer has updates on TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's urgent search for additional help in the central defensive corps.

In other news relating to the thin portion of the TSG roster, Spanish journalist Fernando Serrano reports that a new taker for transfer flop Attila Szalai has emerged.

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's urgent search for more help in central defense continues. Contrary to reports emerging on Friday, German football journalist Michael Pfeifer of Kicker Magazine claims that Frank Kramer and his administrative team are not necessarily interested in investing a tidy sum in former German international Armel Bella-Kotchap. With Liverpool similarly demanding a high transfer fee for Dutch center back Sepp van den Berg, Pfeifer claims focus is shifting elsewhere.

In an article published on Kicker's website today, Pfeifer claims that the Sinsheimers have reinvigorated their interest in want-away FC Augsburg CB Felix Uduokhai. The 26-year-old can be had for a transfer fee of around €7 million; aroundone third of what Bella-Kotchap would cost. Pfeifer also reports that RB Salzburg defender Oumar Soles - previously linked with Wolfsburg and Stuttgart is also a TSG-target. The French youth international maintains a €10 million estimated market worth.

Whoever the Kraichgauer end up signing, it absolutely appears to be the case that Hungarian transfer flop Attila Szalai has no sporting prospects in Sinsehim. The 2024/25 German Europa League representatives want rid of the 26-year-old. Aftera rumored loan out back to Turkey fell through earlier this summer, Spanish journalist Fernando Serrano reports that a new taker has emerged.

Serrano asserts that FC Sevilla are interested in taking the 46-times-capped international on loan. Szalai's professional management recently moved Kelechi Iheanacho to the Andalusians. Serrano offers no information about concrete talks between the two clubs, but Hoffenheim are surely eager to get the €12 million flop off their payroll somehow.
