Following Borussia Dortmund’s decision to pull out of the race for 1. FC Köln youngster Said El Mala, another Bundesliga club could now step up their interest in the 19-year-old.

According to Bild, RB Leipzig are considering an offer with a guaranteed base fee of €50 million, plus €5 million in easily achievable bonuses, as well as another €5 million in add-ons for “extraordinary achievements”. A sell-on clause is reportedly also being discussed.

Die Roten Bullen still need approval from the club’s supervisory board, with a decision on whether the offer will actually be made expected later this week.

El Mala is seen as a possible replacement for Yan Diomande, who has completed a big-money move to Real Madrid.

Leipzig have already agreed personal terms with Racing Strasbourg’s Diego Moreira, but with the French top-flight club demanding €70 million for the 22-year-old, the Bundesliga outfit may opt for El Mala instead.
