Manuel Neuer gave Bayern Munich a brief injury scare during Monday's training session.

The veteran goalkeeper suddenly required treatment on the ground during a cooling break, with reports suggesting that the problem was related to his shoulder.

Neuer had already appeared to be struggling with the issue before the stoppage. The Bayern captain was reportedly making noticeable circular movements with his arms, seemingly attempting to loosen up his shoulder.

The incident understandably raised some concerns given Neuer's importance to Bayern, but there was ultimately some positive news.

Neuer was able to resume training after receiving treatment and completed the session, with no indication at this stage that he has suffered a serious injury.

The goalkeeper recently returned to Bayern training following the summer break and is preparing for another season as the club's first-choice goalkeeper. The 40-year-old has already confirmed that he expects the upcoming campaign to be his final season as a professional.

For now, Bayern will therefore hope that Neuer's shoulder issue is nothing more than a minor setback. Further monitoring will determine whether the veteran is able to continue training without restrictions in the coming days.
