Alcacer: 'Joining Dortmund was exactly the right step for me at the right time'

Paco Alcacer says he is loving life at Borussia Dortmund.

Four games, seven goals - it's safe to say that Paco Alcacer has gone off to a great start at Borussia Dortmund after joining from FC Barcelona on loan in the summer. And so far, the 25-year-old is very pleased with life in Germany.

"I'm just really happy in Dortmund. Joining the BVB was exactly the right step for me at the right time. It's really fun with these incredible fans behind you. I immediately felt comfortable with the BVB," Alcacer told Bild and added:

"The club, the team and the fans have given me a warm welcome. I'm just trying to say thank you with my performances and goals."

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc says Alcacer has exceeded all expectations until now.

"It's almost like a modern fairy tale. It could hardly have been more cheesy. Nobody could expect Paco to directly work that way," Zorc said.

Paco Alcacer has spent 171 minutes on the pitch in total for Dortmund which means he has scored a goal every 24th minute on average.
