When Borussia Dortmund departed for their training camp in Saalfelden, the Bundesliga club announced that Sébastien Haller would not travel immediately due to illness, but would join later.

However, local media outlet WAZ now reports that the 31-year-old striker will not be linking up with his teammates at the training camp at all and will instead remain in France for family reasons.

Dortmund are keen to offload Haller, who has one year left on his contract and earns a hefty €9 million per year.

Signed for a reported €31 million from Ajax in 2022, the Ivorian forward has been out on loan for the past year and a half.

He spent the first half of last season in Spain with Leganés and the second half in the Netherlands with Utrecht.
