17-year-old Lennart Karl is close to signing a contract extension with Bayern Munich, according to AZ.
Bayern are looking to tie the youngster down to a new deal, with his current contract expiring next year.
Karl, widely recognized as one of the brightest talents in Bayern's youth setup, made his first appearance for the seniors at the Club World Cup, playing 45 minutes against Auckland City.
He also featured in Bayern’s recent 2-1 friendly win over Olympique Lyon.
The attacking midfielder has racked up an impressive seven goals and six assists for Germany's U17 national team.
