Kahn reacts to Kane and Ronaldo links

Oliver Kahn has reacted to reports linking Harry Kane and Cristiano Ronaldo with Bayern.
Harry Kane and Cristiano Ronaldo have been named as potential replacements for FC Barcelona-bound Robert Lewandowski at Bayern München.

However, Bayern seem highly unlikely to sign any of them this summer.

"[Kane] is under contract with Tottenham. Sure, he's an absolute top striker, but that's all pie in the sky," Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn told Bild am Sonntag.

"I love Cristiano Ronaldo and everyone knows what a fantastic player he is. But every club has a certain philosophy, after all, and I'm not sure it would be the right signal for FC Bayern and the Bundesliga if we went and got him now."

"Such a move doesn't necessarily fit in with the ideas we have here at FC Bayern."

Ronaldo has one year left on his contract with Manchester United, while Kane's deal with Tottenham expires in 2024.
