Sky Report: Trio of 2. Bundesliga clubs interested in Schalke's Florian Flick

Sky Germany's Dirk Schlarmann reports that at least three 2. Bundesliga sides are interested in picking up FC Schalke 04's Florian Flick on loan for the second half of the season.

With his playing prospects diminished under new Schalke trainer Thomas Reis, three second-tier German footballing sides are evidently interested in bringing in FC Schalke 04 defensive midfielder/center-halve Florian Flick for the second half of their campaigns. The 22-year-old Mannheim native has eight Bundesliga appearances to his credit, taking to the pitch for die Königsblauen during both the 2020/21 relegation season and the current campaign. 

Flick did serve as a Schalke regular in the 2. Bundesliga last year, making a total of 27 league appearances. He registered one assist and saw his estimated market worth rise from €700,000 to €2 million over the course of the 2021/22 promotion campaign. According to Dirk Schlarmann of Sky Germany, 1. FC Nürnberg, 1. FC Kaiserslautern, and Arminia Bielefeld are interested in procuring Flick on loan for their own promotion pushes this spring.
