Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl has backed his former employer RB Leipzig for a top-four finish ahead of the upcoming Bundesliga season.

"They have a great coach and a very strong team which has become much more experienced after three successful years in the highest division. I expect a lot from the club, and I believe they will at least finish in the top four," Hasenhüttl told Kicker.

The former RB Leipzig coach took over the job as Southampton manager in December 2018 and isn't currently thinking about a return to Germany.

"I'm very grateful to the Bundesliga, because I was able to learn and gain experience there. But the Premier League isn't called the strongest league in the world for nothing. If you have the chance to work here as a coach, you should do it as long as you can," he said.
