ESPN transfer journalist Julien Laurens is reporting that Sunderland are also keen to work on a deal for Amine Adli.

With Granit Xhaka seemingly on the way to the Black Cats, they are now competing with Wolves' offer for the Bayer Leverkusen forward.

Die Werkself are not against letting the Moroccan go and it is believed that the player's priority is to come to England.

The newly promoted Premier League outfit will likely finalise Xhaka's deal first and then organise move for Adli.

Adli originally joined Leverkusen from Toulouse in August 2021, but has drifted in and out of the Bundesliga club's starting lineup.

Last season, the 25-year-old endured an injury-hit campaign, playing in just 20 Bundesliga games while grabbing 2 goals.
