Bayern to face competition for Kai Havertz from English and Spanish giants

Bayern München might have to compete with clubs from England and Spain in the race for Kai Havertz's signature.
Bayern München could face hefty competition from England and Spain in their pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz.

Bild has reported that Bayern have made their interest known to both Havertz's agent and his club as they look to land the highly-rated youngster in the summer of 2020.

But Sport1 claims that it is still far from certain that Havertz will join the Bavarians next summer if he decides to leave Leverkusen who have priced him at around €100 million.

According to the report, the 20-year-old either wants to stay in Germany or join a club from England or Spain, with Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid all understood to be among the interested parties. Meanwhile, moving to Italy or France is currently out of the question for him.

Havertz's contract with Leverkusen runs until 2022.
