Alphonso Davies arrived at Bayern München as a winger, but has since developed into an excellent left-back.

And when asked which position he sees himself playing in the future, the 19-year-old says he would like to continue playing at the left-hand side of defence.

"I came as a winger and also played as a winger in a couple of games. But right now, my main position is left-back. I'm enjoying the position. I'm enjoying every moment of it. In the future, I still myself as a left-back. I don't see it changing anytime soon," Davies said during an online press conference on Tuesday.

The Canadian youngster is happy to take advice from the experienced David Alaba, who has been moved from left-back to centre-back.

"I'm proud of my development. The team's playing well, everyone's playing well, and I have a world-class left-back next to me helping me out. Having all those factors in place makes it all a lot more fun," Davies said.

"David has been a top player for a long time, especially at the left-back position. He knows how to play at left-back, so I take feedback and advice from him. He's helping me a lot and keeping me where I'm supposed to be on the field," he explained.

Davies has made 35 appearances for Bayern with two goals and seven assists to his name.
