Joshua Kimmich feels Bayern München has a special winning mentality that gives them an advantage over other teams.
Bayern won their eighth successive Bundesliga title, finishing the 2019/20 season 13 points clear of Borussia Dortmund at the top of the table.
For the second season in a row, Bayern weren't leading the table at Christmas, but climbed to the top in the second half of the campaign. And that was only possible because they never stopped believing in themselves, says Kimmich.
"In the last two seasons, the mentality was the most important factor in winning the championship. When you have been as far behind as we were and still believe you can win the title, it's a matter of mentality and believing in yourself," Kimmich told Sport Bild and continued:
"I have the feeling that this is a great strength of ours, which maybe gives us an edge over other teams. I'm convinced that this can make the difference. Quality alone doesn't win titles. It's also about mentality."
