Bayern hold their breath over Alaba injury
Bayern München celebrated a convincing Supercup win yesterday, but an injury to David Alaba rained on their parade.

Towards the end of last night's Supercup match between Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayern München, David Alaba had to leave the field as he hurt his knee after a foul by Danny da Costa.
The Bayern left-back was taken to the cabin and was missing at the award ceremony. Now, Bayern coach Niko Kovac is holding his breath, hoping it's nothing serious.
"He got a knock on the knee. I hope it's just a bruise. We'll have to look into it now. I hope for us and him that nothing serious happened," Kovac told ZDF after the game.
Should it turn out that Alaba will be out for a longer period, Kovac says he would consider signing a new left-back.
"I have a very good team. We have 21 outfield players, and I'm spoiled for choice. But if it turns out David is injured, we'll look at it," he told Sport1.
Currently, the only other left-back in Bayern's squad is Juan Bernat who hasn't been able to convince Kovac so far. Another alternative is Rafinha who was used on the left at times by former coach Jupp Heynckes despite being a natural right-back.
