Bayern München's Javi Martinez has agreed personal terms with Athletic Club over a return to Spain, according to Marca.

All that remains is for the two clubs to agree on a transfer fee, as per the report, which claims Bayern are olding out for €12 million while Athletic are hoping to push the price down to under €10 million.

In any case, Bayern will do what they can to find a solution that suits Martinez, club CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said.

"We know that he would like to leave the club if a suitable offer comes in for him," Rummenigge told AZ in Augsburg.

""e don't want to put any obstacles in his way, because he has always been a good player and a reliable, serious person."

Bayern paid €40 million to sign Javi Martinez from Athletic Club in 2012. Since then, the defensive midfielder has gone on to play 238 games for the club, racking up 13 goals and nine assists.
