Josip Brekalo has refused to guarantee that he will stay at VfL Wolfsburg beyond the summer.
"I would like to concentrate on the sporting side of things until the end of the season," Brekalo said in an interview with Kicker and continued:
"After that, we will see what's best for me, sit down together and make a decision."
The 22-year-old Croatian international, who is under contract until 2023, was linked with a move to the Italian Serie A last summer.
He has made 27 appearances this season with four goals and two assists to his name.
