According to sources at Kicker.de, Hauke Wahl has reached an agreement with VfL Wolfsburg regarding a potential collaboration.

However, no deal has yet been finalized between his current employers FC St. Pauli and the Lower-Saxony outfit.

Popular German tabloid Sport BILD has also picked up on the rumour and considers a seven-figure transfer fee possible.

Wahl is still under contract with the recently relegated Hanseatic until 2028, meaning they are under no pressure to sell.

Last season, the 32-year-old Hamburg native started 30 league matches whilst providing a solitary goal and two assists.

Wahl, currently valued at €1.5million according to Transfermarkt.com, could be the first player signed under new coach Tobias Strobl's reign.
