Brazilian defender Otávio scored in his Eintracht Frankfurt debut as Adi Hütter’s side continued their preparations for the new season with a 5-1 win over FSV Frankfurt. The Austrian coach used separate lineups for the two 45-minute halves played at BBBank Arena.

Otávio scored the opening goal from Can Uzun’s free-kick delivery in the midpoint of the first-half. The 1.93m-tall center-back joined from Estrela Amadora for a reported transfer fee of €4.5 million.

Younes Ebnoutalib scored the second goal a minute later before Jonathan Burkardt continued his excellent form in front of goal to make it 3-0. The Germany international was one of those players who had issues with the former coach Albert Riera.

George Iorga scored the consolation goal for the Regionalliga side from a direct free-kick between two more strikes by the Eagles after the restart. Summer signing Malik Pimpong and Ritsu Doan scored the last two goals for the Bundesliga outfit.

Eintracht Frankfurt will play their last pre-season game on Saturday against Premier League club Brentford.
