Bayern Munich are understood to be interested in Christopher Nkunku, but whether they step up their interest in the Chelsea attacker this month seems to depend on whether Mathys Tel reconsiders his future.

Despite a reported seven clubs wanting to sign him on loan and Chelsea said to be keen on signing him permanently, Tel has so far been reluctant to leave Bayern this month.

However, speculation has emerged that he could potentially change his mind after spending three consecutive games on the bench.

Further talks between Bayern and Tel are expected to take place this week.

So far this season, the young Frenchman has made just 13 appearances, registering one assist.
