With Karim Adeyemi’s contract running until 2027, Borussia Dortmund are exploring the possibility of an extension.

According to Sport Bild, the Black and Yellows have presented the 23-year-old winger with an initial offer.

The Bundesliga club, however, do not expect Adeyemi to accept the first offer and anticipate that negotiations will go through several rounds.

BVB are reportedly willing to push their finances reasonably far to keep Adeyemi, as signing a replacement of similar quality would be significantly more expensive.

The report also states that coach Niko Kovac is actively involved in the talks and could play a crucial role in convincing Adeyemi to stay, having helped the German forward take his game to a new level.
