Borussia Dortmund have joined AC Milan in the race for Augsburg attacking midfielder Mert Kömür, according to Ekrem Konur.

Reporting for Fussballdaten.de, the Turkish transfer insider claims BVB have targeted the 20-year-old as they look to strengthen their creative options in midfield.

German outlet Ligainsider.de has also reported on Dortmund’s interest, claiming that Kömür prefers a move to the Black and Yellows.

According to Konur, Augsburg could be tempted to sell the Germany U21 international for a fee in the region of €25-35 million.

With Kömür tied to a long-term contract until 2029, Die Fuggerstädter are in a strong negotiating position.

The 20-year-old has racked up two goals and three assists in 26 Bundesliga appearances this season.
