Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel has reaffirmed his commitment to the club for the 2025/26 season.

“Everyone knows that I feel extremely comfortable in Dortmund,” Kobel told Bild.

“I love the fans, the stadium, the club, and the atmosphere. Everyone sees that when I’m on the pitch. I really appreciate it.”

The 27-year-old has often been linked with a move to England, with Chelsea frequently mentioned as a potential destination.

When asked if he had given up on his dream of playing in the Premier League, Kobel replied:

“I can’t remember ever saying that was my dream.”

Currently, Kobel is focused on the Club World Cup, where Dortmund will face Brazilian side Fluminense in their opening match on Tuesday.

“It’s certainly a very busy season with many games, which is tough on the body. But the Club World Cup is a new experience, and I’m looking forward to matches against teams from other continents. We go everywhere to win – that has to be our goal,” Kobel said.
