Despite crashing out of the Champions League in a 4-3 defeat to Bayern Munich tonight, Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa labelled the game a “great match” between two top sides.
“We scored three goals and we had the chances to score more. I feel for them [his Real Madrid players],” Arbeloa told Movistar after the game.
"I feel for the effort they made. It hurts because Real Madrid won't win their 16th title this year, but I'm very proud. We're going back to Madrid after giving it our all.
We had a few chances to score. Before their goal, we were going to make a couple of substitutions, but their goal ended it. It wasn't to be," he finally confessed.
