With a spot in the Champions League semi-final stage up for grabs, Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer is looking forward to the clash with Real Madrid.

“This will certainly be an exciting game. The whole world is watching. It will be broadcast in over 200 countries," he told BILD.

"You don't experience a spectacle like this every day. On the other hand, I'm a little bit nervous for the game, of course.

“The fans already gave us incredible support in Madrid [last Tuesday]. They will be our twelfth man today,” he added with a smile.

Meanwhile, the Bavarian club's CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen said it was “difficult to say” who the favourites to advance are.

“Real Madrid are always there in the Champions League. We have to play very professionally tonight to advance. Real Madrid will do everything they can,” he said.
