With Tuta having completed a €15 million move to Al Duhail and Aurèle Amenda reportedly close to a €11 million transfer to Torino, Eintracht Frankfurt are looking to reinforce their central defence.

According to transfer market insider Sacha Tavolieri, Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Ko Itakura remains a top target for Die Adler, despite the defender having already agreed personal terms with Ajax.

Sky Germany reported on Monday that the Dutch Eredivisie club have had an initial bid for Itakura rejected, giving Eintracht an opportunity to capitalize on the situation and potentially hijack the deal.

Borussia Mönchengladbach are asking for at least €10 million for Itakura, who has just one year remaining on his contract.
