Eintracht Frankfurt board member for sport Markus Krösche is apparently attracting interest from AC Milan, Italian source Gazzetta dello Sport suggest.

The 44-year-old boss is one of four candidates to take over the Italian club’s vacant role in the sports director department.

Milan’s CEO Giorgio Furlani is planning a meeting with Krösche as well as the three other targets.

Fabio Paratici formerly of Tottenham, Igli Tare formerly of Lazio and current AS Monaco boss Thiago Scuro in the coming fortnight.

Gazzetto believe the favourites for the position are Paratici and Tare, while it would be difficult to pry Krösche away from Frankfurt where he is contracted until 2028.

Krösche’s work since joining the Hessen giants has seen them claim Europa League glory and return to the Champions League since his arrival in 2021-22.
