VfL Wolfsburg's pursuit of Pirmin Schwegler can be considered a done deal, according to multiple reliable sources.
Sky have confirmed the head of professional football at Eintracht Frankfurt will become the new sporting director at Wolfsburg.
It's understood that there is a full agreement in place between the clubs now and Wolfsburg will pay a compensation fee of €500,000.
Schwegler has been the Director of Professional Football at Eintracht Frankfurt since the beginning of the year.
He previously held the same title at TSG Hoffenheim. From 2021 to early 2023, he was Chief Scout at FC Bayern Munich.
Wolfsburg's preferred candidate, Andreas Schicker, could not be lured away from TSG Hoffenheim resulting in a move for Schwegler.
