Arsenal appear to have emerged as the front-runners to sign Piero Hincapié, who is looking to leave Bayer Leverkusen before the transfer window closes.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 23-year-old centre-back has agreed personal terms with the Gunners.

Arsenal are now preparing an offer, likely structured as a loan with an obligation to buy.

Hincapié has a release clause of €60–65 million, and the purchase obligation is expected to fall within that range.

To make room for the Ecuadorian defender, Arsenal are reportedly looking to offload Jakub Kiwior, who could be moving to FC Porto.
