Salzburg still need to make the final decision on whether to let him leave despite the agreement, but the current tendency is towards a sale.

Meanwhile, long-serving defender Kevin Akpoguma looks destined to join newly promoted Frosinone Calcio.

A full agreement reached has been reached with the former Hoffenheim centre-back who will join as a free agent.

Akpoguma's medical has been completed at the Serie A outfit, and will put pen to paper on a contract until 2028.

Prior to his contract expiring in June, the German-born Nigerian international played over 202 competitive games for the Sinsheim club.
