VfB Stuttgart will have to manage without Josha Vagnoman for several weeks.

The German international missed Friday’s 2-3 defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach after suffering a thigh muscle injury in the previous 1-1 draw against Atlético Madrid in the Champions League.

And speaking ahead of Wednesday’s DFB-Pokal clash with Paderborn, Stuttgart head coach Sebastian Hoeneß confirmed that the right-back will remain sidelined until at least the November international break.

“I don’t want to go into too much detail right now, but he definitely won’t be available until the international break. After that, we’ll have to see how quickly he can return,” Hoeneß said at a press conference.

Lorenz Assignon made his first start this season in Vagnoman’s absence on Friday and could be handed another opportunity on Wednesday.
