Injury problems persist as Dortmund prepare for Leipzig

On Tuesday, Borussia suffered their fourth defeat in their last five games, crashing out of the DFB-Pokal after a 1-0 extra-time loss to Wolfsburg.

A series of injuries left Marcel Sabitzer as the only experienced outfield player on the bench for that game, and it doesn't look like things are going to get much better ahead of Saturday's Bundesliga clash with RB Leipzig.

Of the players who missed the game against Wolfsburg through injury, only Waldemar Anton has a chance of making the squad to face RB Leipzig, according to Kicker.

Niklas Süle, Yan Couto, Julian Ryerson, Karim Adeyemi, Julien Duranville and Giovanni Reyna all remain sidelined.

In addition, Gregor Kobel and Felix Nmecha both picked up knocks at Wolfsburg.

Kobel was unable to stand properly on Wednesday, complaining of pain under his hip muscle, but the club's medical staff are confident he will be fit to face Leipzig, according to Bild.

Nmecha, meanwhile, injured his shoulder, and it's unclear whether he'll be able to play.
