Kicker and Sport Bild: Adeyemi injury appears serious

Germany's main sporting tabloid and Kicker Magazine are currently reporting that Borussia Dortmund's high-flying Karim Adeyemi's injury could sideline the 22-year-old for several weeks.

Despite an optimistic prognosis from the player himself, Germany's two most reliable footballing media outlets are currently reporting that Karim Adeyemi's thigh injury appears to be serious. Adeyemi's club Borussia Dortmund have not yet issued an official update.

The 22-year-old was not included in Bundestrainer Julian Nagelsmann's German senior men's national team squad for the coming international break released today. Whether or not Adeyemi can make it to the Germany U21s - at which he excelled during the September break - remains to be seen.

Germany U21 head-coach Antonio di Salvo is set to reveal his roster for the October break tomorrow. Tuesday night's UCL hat trick brought Adeyemi's goal-total to five across all competitions for club this season. The former Bayern academy man scored five goals for the U21s in September.
