RB Leipzig are closing in on a deal to sign 18-year-old PSV winger Ayodele Thomas, according to Eindhovens Dagblad.

The Dutch outlet claims that Die Roten Bullen have made an offer the young forward “can hardly refuse,” with his contract at PSV set to expire at the end of the season.

Sky Germany has also reported on Leipzig’s interest in Thomas, who has previously been linked with Eintracht Frankfurt.

At present, it appears Leipzig hold the strongest position in the race for the Dutch youth international, who could make the switch to Germany either now or in the summer.

Thomas has yet to feature for PSV’s first team, but has scored six goals and provided eight assists in 44 appearances for their U21 side.
