Piero Hincapié’s proposed move from Bayer Leverkusen to Arsenal is nearing completion.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Die Werkself have agreed to the Gunners’ proposal to sign the player on loan with an obligation to buy.

Details of the fee structure are still being finalized, with the deal expected to be worth around €60 million.

Hincapié was in tears following Leverkusen’s 1-2 home defeat to Hoffenheim on Saturday, which is likely to have been his final appearance for Die Werkself.

The 23-year-old centre-back has played for Leverkusen since 2021.
