After leaving 1. FC Union Berlin at the end of his contract in the summer, Diogo Leite has found a new club.

SS Lazio confirmed the signing of the Portuguese centre-back as a free agent on Tuesday.

Leite has signed a two-year contract with the Italian capital club, with an option to extend his deal for an additional two seasons.

The 27-year-old will thus link up with Danilho Doekhi, who has also joined Lazio on a free transfer from Union Berlin.

Leite made a total of 136 appearances for Union, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
