There is a new twist in Benjamin Šeško’s transfer saga. “The Athletic” report that Newcastle United sent a first offer in the past 24 hours. Newcastle’s €75 million (plus a further €5 million in bonuses) offer is also confirmed by multiple media outlets.

The Magpies are looking for a new striker to lead their line as Alexander Isak is doing everything in his power to force a move to Liverpool. Manchester United were also in search of a number 9, and the Slovenian striker seems to be heading into Old Trafford based on reports this week.

However, Newcastle are now back in the driving seat with the player giving the green light for the move. The 1.95m striker scored 13 Bundesliga goals last season despite Leipzig failing to qualify for any of the three European competitions.
