1.FC Nürnberg and Hindolo Mustapha have parted ways after just six months, the club announced this afternoon.

The decision was made that the 19-year-old's loan spell with the 2.Bundesliga side would be terminated prematurely.

Mustapha did not make a single professional appearance for Nürnberg and will return to Crystal Palace for the time being.

“Hindolo undoubtedly has quality, but things didn't work out at 1. FC Nürnberg as all parties had hoped.

"It was also important for the player's sake to establish clarity early on and find a mutually agreeable solution,” said sporting director Joti Chatzialexiou.

The Sierra Leone international previously found himself on the end of coach Miroslav Klose's criticism back in November – it's believed this strayed their relationship.
