Nagelsmann: "We deserved the result"

Bayern München coach Julian Nagelsmann felt his side deserved their equaliser against RB Salzburg.
Julian Nagelsmann felt Bayern München deserved their late 1-1 draw in the Champions League against RB Salzburg after working their way into the game.

"We made too many mistakes in the first half. We lost a lot of balls, even though the pressure wasn't that great," said the Bayern coach after the final whistle.

"The goal against is actually relatively easy to defend. The finish is good, but still avoidable.

"In the second half, we did well. We defended with more risk and ultimately deserved the result."

The 34-year-old has special praise for Kingsley Coman, who scored Bayern's late equaliser.

"He didn't start well in the first 25 minutes, but then worked his way in. You can see how important he is for us - and not just because of his goal. He wins almost every one-on-one."
