Late Coman equaliser earns Bayern draw in Salzburg

Kingsley Coman's late goal saved Bayern München's blushes as they drew 1-1 with RB Salzburg.
Bayern München narrowly avoided a shocking upset in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie with RB Salzburg, drawing 1-1 in Austria on Wednesday evening thanks to Kingsley Coman's late equaliser.

20-year-old striker Chukwubuike Adamu scored the opener for RB Salzburg with 21 minutes on the clock, curling a shot into the far corner from the edge of the penalty box. The Austria international had come on 10 minuter earlier, replacing Noah Okafor, who picked up a knock.

Salzburg resolutely defended their lead until Kingsley Coman popped up to equalise for Bayern with just seconds of normal time left. Thomas Müller flicked on a cross for the French winger to send the ball into the net and earn the Bavarians a well-earned draw in the eleventh hour.

The two teams meet again for the second leg at the Allianz Arena in Munich on March 8.
