Sky: Dortmund see Villas-Boas as possible Stöger successor

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly identified André Villas-Boas as a potential new manager.
Peter Stöger's time as Borussia Dortmund manager seems to draw to a close. With the Austrian's contract running out after the season, 'Die Schwarzgelben' are said to be looking for his replacement.

According to Sky, André Villas-Boas is among the candidates. Borussia Dortmund have reportedly reached out to the Portuguese manager and have been in contact with his agent for the past few days. There hasn't been any concrete negotiations yet, though.

"Vi must get the feeling that Andre isn't just a 'plan B' for Dortmund," a source close to Villas-Boas told Sky.

Villas-Boas is currently inbetween jobs after the 40-year-old left Chinese side Shanghai SIPG in November 2017. He has previously managed clubs such as Porto, Chelsea, Tottenham and Zenit Saint Petersburg.

OCG Nice coach Lucien Favre has also been mentioned as an option for the manager job at Dortmund by several different media. The 60-year-old has previously managed Hertha BSC and Borussia Mönchengladbach among others.
