Sandro Wagner could leave his position as Germany assistant coach ahead of the 2026 World Cup if he receives an interesting offer, according to Sky Germany.

The report claims that he has previously rejected interest from several sides, including Hoffenheim.

It's not clear what would be attractive enough for the former Bayern Munich striker to leave his job at the German Football Association, where he feels very much at home.

He spent a week observing current Marseille coach Roberto De Zerbi at Brighton & Hove Albion in April.

Wagner's contract with the DFB runs until 2026.
