Rumor: Bayern are interested in Hoffenheim captain

Hoffenheim captain Kevin Vogt is among Bayern München's transfer targets this summer, Kicker reports.

The 26-year-old central defender has reportedly impressed the new Bayern coach Niko Kovac who wants to bring him to the Allianz Arena.

However, Vogt is under contract until 2020, and there is no release clause in his contract so it may not be easy to lure Hoffenheim to sell unless Bayern come in with a great offer.

Kovac has switched between three and four at the back during his time at Eintracht Frankfurt and may want to sign a central defender in order to get the same versatility at Bayern. Another reason could be the rumor of Jerome Boateng wanting to leave the club.
