RB Leipzig confirm Dani Olmo will be out for several weeks

Dani Olmo will be sidelined for "several weeks" after sustaining a shoulder injury against FC Köln, RB Leipzig have confirmed.
RB Leipzig have provided an update on Dani Olmo, who suffered a shoulder injury just seven minutes after coming on as a substitute in Saturday's 6-0 win over FC Köln.

The 25-year-old forward will be sidelined for "several weeks", the Bundesliga outfit have announced.

Scans have revealed that the Spaniard, who only recently returned from injury, has suffered a separation of the acromioclavicular joint, but no fractures.

RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose lamented the injury after the win over FC Köln, saying:

"Dani's injury puts a damper on today's great performance.

"We're all devastated that he'll be out again. Dani is so important to us as a player and as a person. It would have been great to have him on board for the next few weeks."
