Sky Report: Ryerson out for months with knee ligament injury

Sky Germany's Patrick Berger reports that BVB fullback Julian Ryerson has suffered an interior cruciate ligament injury that will sideline him for up to eight weeks.
Borussia Dortmund's search for some additional help at the fullback position during the coming January transfer window looks to have become much more urgent. According to German journalist Patrick Berger of Sky Germany, the Norwegian international suffered a ligament injury in last night's Pokal fixture that could keep him out for two months or more.

Berger does note that a conclusive diagnosis is still lacking at this time. The 26-year-old has featured in 17 games across all competitions for Dortmund this season. Ryerson's third league goal of the campaign - scored against Leverkusen last Sunday - enabled him to earn "team-of-the-week" honors in many German press sources.
