Bayern München coach Hansi Flick has revealed that Ivan Perisic is expected to be out for weeks.

The Croatian international was forced to break off training on Tuesday after suffering an ankle fracture.

"We thought it wasn't that bad as first, but Ivan has fractured his ankle. It will take four weeks before everything has healed up. After that, he will start his recovery training program. It's a bit of a shock for us, because he has done us good with his dynamism," Flick told reporters at a press conference ahead of Bayern's DFB-Pokal with Hoffenheim on Wednesday.

Perisic has started the last five games for Bayern. He has made a total of 22 appearances this season, racking up five goals and eight assists.
